Sussex junior ace Jenna Gates is one of eight nominations for the OCS National Young Sportsperson of the Year 2001.

The British and French under-15s champion from Henfield is now No.7 in the country at under-17s.

Jenna is London and South East Region winner and will be presented with her award by the Minister of Sport, Richard Caborn, at an Awards Lunch at the Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall, London, next Thursday. Trevor Brooking, Chairman of Sport England and head of the OCS judging panel, will announce the national winner.

Suzie Pierrepont, the Varndean College pupil and international from Brighton and Hove, competes at her last under-17s event at the Surrey Open at Weybridge this weekend.
