My name is B H Albion. I am otherwise known affectionately to my thousands of admirers, both locally and throughout the land, by my pseudonym, C Gull.

My profession is "sporting entertainment", a calling I have practised for 100 years, during which time I have reached the highest pinnacle and the lowest depth.

Only a few years ago, my talents were displayed in front of the largest audience and in the greatest stadium in the land.

I was wined and dined by the highest and paraded throughout my home towns like a king. At my lowest, I still had my faithful followers, who gave me the will and confidence to fight and survive.

With the help of all the back-stage staff, I am trying my hardest to climb to the top of the ladder once again so the city in which I live and love can be justly proud of me.

Only a few years ago, all seemed lost. A certain person who was guiding my career had decided, without my knowledge, to sell the theatre that had been my home for nearly a century, The Goldstone. I was devastated.

I was brought back from the brink of oblivion by a gentleman called Dick Knight, who is everything his name suggests.

He acquired temporary accommodation from a near neighbour and persuaded the local authorities of my home city to let me perform at Withdean stadium.

My confidence in my ability has been fully restored but my temporary home cannot accommodate the large numbers of people who want to see me perform.

Mr Knight with Mr Martin Perry and associates, who have taken over my career, are in negotiations as regards building a super stadium where I can share my talents along with the best of them.

My success depends on the outcome.

There are objections, as always, but over the past 100 years my fans have behaved in an exemplary fashion and have endeared themselves to folk wherever they have followed me.

My greatest wish in life is to bring fame, fortune and pleasure to my home, where I live. Please give me that opportunity.
