One dare not leave this chap out. He is among the most fondly remembered of supporting actors of the Thirties and Forties.

His name was Willy Best (most apt). He made the most wonderful exits, shuffling away, slightly stooped, his lower lip drooping, muttering and mumbling his discontent with whatever he had been asked to do.

He was excellent in The Ghost Breakers with Bob Hope and Paulette Goddard.

Sadly, he died from cancer, aged just 48.
