A £40,000 report reveals taxpayers' dissatisfaction with Brighton and Hove City Council's delivery of services.
Never mind - following the rejection of a directly-elected mayor, perhaps executive councillors unable to do their job properly can be ejected just as vehemently when the improved committee system takes over by May 2002.
Failed attempts to foist unwanted systems of local government upon us have resulted in jobs for the boys and an appalling waste of taxpayers' money.
Is this gravy train to rumble on or will these bumbling nincompoops get the push they deserve?
I phoned the council. No, explained someone, the current cabinet members won't be changing their portfolios.
The leader will need his group of leading members. They will just get new titles.
My heart sank. The citizens of Brighton and Hove voted for improvement, not the reinstallation of deadwood has-beens clinging to power under a different name.
