Saed Samandi, the manager of Mottoo, Duke Street, Brighton, is either very much mistaken or needs to call an urgent staff meeting.
His staff appear to have no knowledge of the products Mottoo sells.
On five separate occasions, prior to the recent demonstration, members of the Brighton Anti-Fur Campaign visited Mottoo and were told by staff the fur linings inside some of the merchandise were made of rabbit fur.
Animal rights protesters know more about the products Mr Samandi stocks than he does himself, since we have done the research.
His sheepskin products are made from Toscana Shearling, which is a pelt with the fur attached and comes from a sheep specially bred for clothing.
On no occasion did any protestor enter Mottoo uninvited or behave aggressively to staff.
In fact, it was a staff member who came out of the shop and kicked all our leaflets and merchandise across the pavement.
We are peaceful protestors and, as part of our ongoing campaign, will be asking shops to show their support for a fur-free Brighton and Hove by displaying one of our pledges in their windows.
Lastly, The Argus reported (November 19) we want to educate the public that shops are selling fur.
We aim to achieve far more than that. We will make it known through demonstrations and leaflets that buying and wearing fur is wrong. Brighton and Hove is a liberal and enlightened city.
Fur is outmoded. It won't be tolerated here.
