I live in the garden flat at 1a Connaught Road and am severely affected (alongside my neighbours) at both the front and back of my home by the proposed glass tower development.

This development has been unusually speedy, from planning (we had one day's notice of the planning meeting) to demolition (which started before notification was received by the residents). Why was this project rushed through?

This development is supposed to make wonderful use of natural light - that's fine - but it takes ours.

The director of Karis Developments remarked the local residents thought the development to be "brilliant" - I would very much like to meet those residents, as I have not yet met any.

The Van Alen building, in Marine Parade, Brighton, is a wonderful design that manages to be noticeable yet also blends with its surroundings. Maybe that's because it is not four storeys higher than the adjacent buildings.
