Former Ringmer boss Gary Allen is back in management after taking charge of second division strugglers Wealden.

He succeeds Tom Parker and Neil Thornicroft who guided the club into senior football. Alan Lofthouse, who worked with Allen at the Caburn Field, will be his assistant.

Meanwhile Horsham YMCA have released Andy Dhiman to Pease Pottage Village and signed defender Paul Charman from Redhill. Charman is brother of Gary, the Horsham winger.

Meanwhile boss John Suter is delighted he'll have midfielder Stuart McCreadie back from suspension for next Saturday's league game at Selsey.

McCreadie was banned for 35 days for swearing at a match official but he missed nine games and it would have been ten had YM's game today not been called off because of the Sussex fixture.

Suter said: "We've really missed him, he pulls the strings for us in midfield and makes things tick."

YM's fifth consecutive midweek away game ended in defeat at Arundel on Tuesday when they suffered a 5-4 extra time defeat by Arundel in the Sussex Senior Cup. YM have scored eight goals in three visits to Mill Road this season and lost every time.

Kristian Bridle has re-joined Storrington, as predicted in Grapevine last week. Swans have also signed East Preston midfielder Matthew Speed, Lancing striker Graham King and former Worthing midfielder Grant Noble, who has been in Canada.

Danny Hinshelwood will miss the next 6-8 weeks after damaging medial ligaments. The Selsey player/boss admitted: "It's disappointing but I will do my bit from the bench."

Second division promotion chasers East Grinstead have signed defender Steve Moore from Oakwood. Moore first played for the Wasps in 1992, but has been at Tinsley Lane for the last five seasons.

Grinstead boss Bob Smith said: "It's a good signing for us. Steve is very experienced and still reads the game really well."

Grinstead have also made an approach to Redhill for veteran striker Ricky Geddes while defender Keith Bradshaw, who broke a leg in two places in an FA Vase game at Thatcham in September, hopes to be back in training early in the new year after making a quicker than expected recovery.
