Hotshot Steve Lind is on course for a staggering 50 goals this season.

Lind, 24, plays for L and S Athletic on a Saturday in the Worthing and District Football League and for Boundstone Old Boys in the Worthing and Horsham Sunday League.

The marksman has 33 goals to his name so far including ten in a memorable free-scoring weekend.

He scored half of the Athletic goals for Joe Pannell's side in their 10-0 romp against Lancing United C and netted a further five for Boundstone against Ajax Kings Arms in his side's 8-5 victory.

Lind said: "I went out and got drunk after the match against Lancing, but that's a normal Saturday night. I've scored lots of goals but some have been better than others. I didn't think I'd get another five after the first lot.

"I always aim for three each game and I'll try to keep scoring. I hope to get 50 goals this season."

And Steve insisted that despite his goalscoring prowess he is yet to develop a trademark celebration.

"As one of the older players in the team I'll leave all that to the younger lads. They are expecting me to score in every game now. But we are all mates so they aren't going to fall out with me if I don't get on the scoresheet."

We gave Steve a box of London Pride for his efforts. There's a crate for anyone else who manages to find the back of the net with similar ease.
