Brighton and Hove Albion fans are being invited to a public meeting for an update on the club's bid to build a new stadium.

The meeting will be the launch pad for a fans' campaign to back the Albion's application to build a community stadium in the countryside at Falmer close to the A27 Brighton to Lewes road.

Full details of two planning applications currently being studied by Brighton and Hove City Council will be on show and there will be computer-generated designs of how the proposed new stadium will look.

The public meeting at Hove Town Hall on Monday will start at 7.30pm.

It will be attended by Albion's new manager, Peter Taylor.

Albion chairman Dick Knight and chief executive Martin Perry will give the update on the controversial planning applications.

Mr Perry said: "We have now reached a crucial stage in our bid to build a new stadium at Falmer.

"This is an opportunity for all fans to hear about our proposals and how they can help secure our new home."
