Littlehampton boss Andy Taylor heaped praise on his young side after their 5-1 demolition of Peacehaven.

Steve Davies scored twice and had a hand in two more as the Marigolds made it four wins from their last five games. Stuart Sell, Darren Akmankalns and Lee Barnard were on target while Scott Tipper was unlucky not to add a late fifth. Ian Costello's first goal for Peacehaven provided a consolation.

Taylor said: "It was a great performance especially after Geoff Ward had to pull out. My back four were all 20 or under and I only had four players in the side over 21."

Dave Schneider scored four on only his second start for Wick as they thrashed Eastbourne United 5-1.

Schneider has been ruled out by injury since his summer arrival from Lancing but relished his chance to join tricky Gareth Green up front.

Lee Webber added his first senior goal as Wick impressed, although Matt Beard deflected one into his own net late on.

Sidlesham boss Richard Towers reckons his side can climb towards mid-table after a battling 1-0 win at Saltdean.

Striker Kevin Moore lobbed the winner from Glenn Bridgeman's through ball and later hit a post. Bridgeman and Tigers' Gavin Gregg were sent-off in separate incidents.

Miles Scerri hit two first-half goals as Arundel saw off Redhill 2-0 at Mill Road.

Whitehawk are moving quietly up the table. They only managed three goals this time for the East Brighton Park regulars, but it was enough to see off a Pagham outfit who led twice.

Simon and Ollie Rowland and Paul Stephenson did the damage in a 3-2 win after Richard Davies and Tony Stephens had struck for the Lions.

Seventeen-year-old goalkeeper Ben Smith saved a last-minute David Henham penalty as Horsham YMCA won 3-2 at Hailsham.

It was one of four spot- kicks in a dramatic last half-hour. Nick Flint put YM 3-1 up, Henham replied, then Flint scuffed wide from 12 yards before Henham had his late chance to save a point.

Hailsham scored first through Jimmy Elford but Russell Harwood then struck twice, the first a superb effort as he flicked the ball up and volleyed in.
