So Tony Blair asks for our patience and support in the so-called war against terrorism (The Argus, October 29).

Well, he certainly hasn't got mine if believes it is justifiable to bomb a country into submission on the grounds of some elusive terrorists hiding there.

If supposed intelligence services can't locate and destroy Osama bin Laden and his associates, why must innocent civilians be bombed and starved because of one terrible act by a few extremists?

We have now become a figure of hate in the Muslim world by supporting the US game plan instead of advocating moderation and tighter security measures.
