John Maggs has lost patience with striker Jason Lillis and is poised to axe him for Horsham's home tie against Folkestone Invicta.

The Hornets boss believes Lillis, who played 400 Football League games, is not fit enough and is poised to partner youngster Jamie Taylor in attack alongside Steve Flain as Marcel Dennis is unavailable because of a holiday.

Maggs said: "Jason is not in the right shape, in fact he's nowhere near fit. Jamie has not had many starts but when he has come on he has looked lively and I think he deserves his chance."

Hornets beat their Dr Martens League opponents 3-0 in a friendly, but Maggs feels that tomorrow's FA Cup game will be a lot closer.

"Playing better sides seems to bring out the best in us," he said. "We're at home, we're expecting a big crowd and we have got a good chance."

Meanwhile, striker Gavin Jones is a major doubt for Worthing's home match with Bishop's Stortford in Ryman League division one after he was hit on the head by a pallet in an accident at work.

But Gavin Geddes is available after injury and boss Sammy Donnelly has Lee Weston back from a loan spell with Wick.

Bognor take their unbeaten record to Carshalton with no injury worries following Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Staines.
