Two men are in hospital today after being stabbed in the face during a road rage attack.
The men are believed to have been attacked by four men and a woman with knives and baseball bats at 9pm last night in Bognor.
One of the men was slashed across the face while the other was stabbed in the face, chest and side.
One of his ears was almost severed.
Sussex Police said the incident involved the occupants of three cars and a man and woman walking in Market Square, Bognor.
One of the attackers is thought to have been driving an E-registered Mercedes Benz estate car.
He is described as white, in his mid-30s, with dark bushy hair and a moustache.
Police were unable to confirm the motive for the attack but said none of the people involved were from the Bognor area.
