I have just returned from a holiday in Mallorca. The weather was fine and most days my wife and I spent many hours on the beach.

Having lived in Brighton and Hove for some 67 years, I am no longer a youngster and I wonder what readers think of this.

While sitting on the beach - and not being prone to looking around at others - I was amazed to find, one numerous occasions, I saw topless females (I can't call them girls) - some of ample centimetres (as most were German or Austrian) - not only quite openly plucking hairs out of their breasts but also popping spots in various places on their bodies. If they could not get to a particular area, their partners would willingly step in and "do the business" for them.

Am I just old-fashioned or is this some modern trend of European culture I have failed to understand?

Do all female readers take tweezers with them on holiday and is it a natural thing for them to act in this way?

Maybe moving into the European Union fully would give us the insight into this quite painful activity?
