I am sure all of us were appalled to read of the cost of clearing up after the travellers (The Argus, September 15).

This is becoming a regular item on the Brighton and Hove's budget. Surely there is a bylaw lurking in the dusty archives of the legal department (see Elizabeth I about "the poor not of this parish")?

What happened to the Litter Act or the Trespass Act where damage is caused? Every human being should have a home but the travellers appear to be practising a form of anarchy.
