I read with utter disgust the headline "Council rejects mast map plan" (The Argus, September 19).

It certainly has been made very clear where this council's interest lies. It does not want to commit resources to sticking a few marked flats on a board but has been sending a good proportion of our council tax up in smoke every weekend during the summer on fireworks.

It believes in pleasure for the tourists but what about health and safety for the citizens of Brighton and Hove? No more mobile masts.
