In reply to David Morris (Letters, August 21), perhaps Mr Morris could do a study on how many pedestrians have been maimed and killed on the pavement as compared to the many cyclists who have been on the road.

I own a car and a cycle, and I am sick of the total lack of consideration shown to cyclists, especially in Brighton, by car, lorry and bus drivers alike.

At times, cyclists have to ride on the pavement to avoid being injured.
