As an advocate of happy family life, I entirely agree with the Rev John Webster's letter regarding married life (Letters, August 21).
It would be wonderful to have a festival of marriage as I am sure the breakdown of happy married life has caused the many ills affecting society today.
I am sure, at last, one profession would be overjoyed if happy family life became the norm and that would be school teachers.
It must be more beneficial to teach a class of well-behaved youngsters.
Surely, I am not the only chap with a wonderful wife, who is proud of his children and grandchildren.
I do hope your suggestions come about, Rev John, I only wish I had thought of it first.
