Findon remain on course for the Invitation League title after a comfortable home win over bottom of the table East Preston.
James Lago made 62 and Paul O'Sullivan 58 not out as the home side scored 200-4 before pulling out after 42 overs. The visitors, still without a win this season, made a decent fist of their run chase but were bowled out for 182 in 60.2 overs despite Colin Smith's 53.
Clymping failed to close the gap after they were held to a draw by mid-table Pagham. Adam Tester took 7-50 as Pagham made 177-8 replying to the hosts' 209-8. For Pagham A. Walsh hit 72 and P.Harris 57.
Eastergate are up to third after they restricted Crawley to 203-5 to set up a three wicket win, while fourth-placed Burgess Hill were frustrated by Ansty's accurate attack. Richard Nichols made 57 as Ansty were bowled out for 163, but Hillians could only reach 146-2 in reply.
Unluckiest batsman of the day was Henfield's Kevin Thoms who was dismissed for 99 against Barns Green. Compensation came in the form of a 98 run for his side after Green were bowled out for 94.
An undefeated 80 from Graham Page steered Lindfield to a six wicket victory over Goring whose 182-4 included an undefeated 58 by Simon Wilkinson.
Four players past 50 as Ifield defeated Southwick by seven wickets. Steve Martin (65) and M.Rea (52) were the mainstays of Southwick's 185-6, but Anthony Eddington's 81 and 54 from Philip Dean took the home side to victory.
Ryan Chitty made 63 and Richard Diplock 58 as Arundel rattled up 228-3 at home to Keymer & Hassocks. The visitors' recent revival came to an end when they were dismissed for 165.
Pulborough remain on course for promotion from division two after a four wicket win over third-placed Selsey.
The home side were restricted to 122-9 and Pulborough reached their target thanks mainly to Clint Astridge's 61.
A maximum points win enabled Broadwater to close the gap after they won a high-scoring contest at Horsham Trinity. Richard Iago (67 not out) and John Owen (74 not out) put on an unbeaten 141 for the fifth wicket as Broadwater rattled up 227-4 and Trinity seemed to be in the hunt when they reached 139-2. But they lost their last eight wickets for 52 including Steve Cox who made 116 and were dismissed for 191.
South Bersted & Bognor are fifth after winning by 25 runs at Storrington. The home side were dismissed for 111 (S. Love 5-39) after the combined side had been bowled out for 136.
St Andrews' Martin Blake produced an outstanding spell of 5-11 from 25 balls as Rustington were dismissed for 148 replying to the visitors' 187-9.
And another bowler in form was Broadbridge Heath's Ollie Carter who took 6-30 against Southwater. But the visitors, replying to Heath's 186-8, ensured honour was satisfied in the local derby by reaching 147-7.
Brett Moores (62) and Ian Moore (57) guided Portslade to 179-5 and a five wicket success at home to Slinfold while Scaynes Hill had to settle for a draw at home to Ardingly who finished on 172-7 replying to the home side's 228-5 which included an unbeaten 83 from Paul Elphick.
