With all the problems of finding a new home for the Albion (Opinion, July 25) can someone tell me what is wrong with the expansion of Withdean stadium?
It is in a natural valley, building on the nature reserve behind would be far less damaging to the environment than the Downs.
It has been a stadium for years and will have been a league football ground for at least four years by the time any possible other ground is built.
Extra special trains for match-day use only would be no more difficult than Falmer or Waterhall and, unlike those areas, thousands can still walk to the ground.
Bus travel has also worked extremely well. Sufficient financial compensation for those in homes affected would be cheap compared to the cost of the farce that is Falmer.
