The Argus recently published a picture from a negative I hold in my archives.

There was a very good response - more than 50 letters and phone calls.

I am always looking for more negatives for the archive.

I photographed the steam railway from the Fifties and had quite a large collection of my own work.

Then, about ten years ago, I was chatting to an elderly gentleman who said: "If I had known you collected negatives, you could have had mine. I threw them all away, no one wanted them."

Thus my archive started.

Perhaps readers could not throw negatives away but consider my archive as a safe haven.
