With reference to Gwen Phillips's letter (Opinion, May 16), l would like to add that, as I was driving my granddaughter home from school up Wilson Avenue, she looked at all the rubbish and the car filled with concrete and remarked that if she were coming from a foreign country she would not like to stay where people leave so much rubbish.
What is the point of teaching our children not to throw rubbish out of car windows etc when other people think once something is dumped they can follow suit.
There is so much complaint about travellers but are people in houses any better?
