At eight months he is the youngest member of the chair at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Dyke Road and, under the guidance of his musically-talented mother, Hillary, will probably learn his doh ray me before his ABC.
It is not surprising the congregation raises a smile as he processes down the aisle in his mum's arms, the other holding the hymn book. "Let us pray. I said pray, not play, William."
