The recent criticism of Southern Counties Radio has been way over the top. The minority are obviously the complainers, otherwise why would our radio stations have been recently voted the most popular in the country?

Most of the presenters are excellent in their own way, including David Miller, who, for such a young man, has such an amazing knowledge of music, even from before he was born.

The only thing I agree with is the subject of JoAnne Goode, although one does not have to be rude. She is not the right person for that particular slot and was far better in her previous, evening slot. She does not have enough knowledge of the Sussex locality, talks too much about her own pursuits, often contradicts herself (let alone other people) and always has her eye on the next filming contract. She is not the right person for what she calls a news programme.

Don't get rid of her, BBC. I'm sure you have a spot for such an enthusiastic, energetic person, who obviously has the gift of the gab.

On the breakfast show, she has many of us wanting to throw something at the radio because she can be so exasperating. When John Redford took over, he was excellent.
