John Hoye complains he and his family had to leave a pub on Palace Pier at 8pm because children are not allowed to remain there after that hour.

However, his children are only four and six years old, at which age they should surely both be at home, in bed and asleep. Has it occurred to him the reason for this rule might not only be for the comfort of other patrons but also for the benefit of children whose parents evidently cannot be trusted to exercise their own judgement in this respect?
