I am not ex-directory but never receive the calls described by R J Allam (Opinion, April 4) because I am registered with the Telephone Preference Service, which has a register of telephone numbers of people who do not wish to receive those calls.
To be registered, call 0845 070 0707. Any calls made 28 days after registration then become unlawful.
