Now residents-only parking spaces have been provided, it has become obvious some of them are vacant for much of the day.
If it is not too late to change, why not continue with residents having permanent spaces but allowing pay and display parking as well?
With this short-term parking using any vacant spaces, provided it was strictly enforced, it would allow for local visits and quick shopping trips.
