Substitute Jamie Cole hit a dramatic last-minute winner as Worthing followed up last Saturday's division one win over Yeading with a fine 2-1 victory at promotion-chasing Ford United.

Teenage striker Cole seized on a clearance from Ben Carrington to beat keeper Jimmy Chapman on the edge of the area.

The strike ended a run of four successive away defeats by Rebels and effectively dispelled any fears of relegation.

Worthing controlled the first half and Marc Burt hit the bar with a looping header before Lee Weston gave them the lead on 29 minutes.

Ford did not force a corner until the 61st minute, at which point they equalised through Dean Allen, who cashed in on some poor defending to head home.

BOGNOR drew 1-1 with Whyteleafe after a brave second half performance at Nyewood Lane.

The visitors went ahead on 18 minutes when Gary Elliott played a fine ball into the box for Dean Lock to race on and rifle past Craig Stoner.

Within minutes Stoner prevented the Rocks from going further behind when he denied Paul MacKay from close range.

An equaliser arrived in the 69th minute when a Guy Rutherford cross was met at the far post by Matt Russell whose low drilled cross was slotted home from close range by Adie Miles.

LEWES' promotion hopes suffered a setback as they lost 1-0 to Epsom & Ewell at The Dripping Pan in what was only their second division three defeat of the season.

The Rooks gave a debut to Conor McCurdy, signed from Albion until the end of the season, and he almost gave them the lead a minute from half time but his effort from just outside the area was well saved by Epsom keeper Dave Wyatt.

However, on the stroke of half time Epsom struck with their only real chance of the game, as Ben Forey side-footed home.

HORSHAM'S match at Tooting tomorrow has been called off as the Surrey club have cup commitments.
