I cannot understand why people write expressing sadness regarding the efforts being made in trying to eradicate the shocking foot-and-mouth disease.

I have eaten meat all my life. Even during the Second World War, the Government made sure I had a weekly meat ration.

I was never taught at school it is wrong to eat meat and no vicar has told me I am sinful to eat meat.

It will not be long before hundreds of Britons will be flying off to Spain for their holidays and some will pay good money to witness cruelty to animals.
