In 1967, I purchased an electrical test meter which came complete with batteries.
The meter has now developed an internal fault and no longer functions but, remarkably, one of the original batteries has outlived the meter and is still giving a full output.
It is a 22.5-volt battery and marked "for photo flash and hearing aids".
Is 34 years a record for the life of a battery or can any reader better this?
