Police are investigating the suspected abduction of a six-year-old girl in a supermarket.
The girl had been left to look at toys at Asda in Brighton Marina while her mother went shopping.
The mother returned to find the girl in tears.
The story police are investigating suggests the girl was taken by a woman.
She was led briefly upstairs to the supermarket's restaurant and then returned to the toy section.
The incident happened some time after 5pm yesterday and police are appealing for witnesses.
The woman who allegedly took the girl was said to have long blonde hair.
