Langney Sports boss Garry Wilson has identified the players he will be bringing in for next season.

Wilson wants more experience in the side to bolster the club's chances of challenging at the top of the eastern division next season.

He does not want to say which positions he is looking at, but insists it will be experienced men making their way to Priory Lane.

The Langney boss said: "This season we've been coping with youngsters and they've done magnificently. But to push for promotion we need players from a level above. The players who have been up there and done it.

"We need older heads in the team to mix with the youngsters in the team."

Sports were rocked this week by the news that striker Matt Allen is likely to miss the rest of the season. The 19-goal striker injured his ankle during Sunday's win against Corby and Wilson has been told the injury is serious.

Wilson said: "We won't know the full extend until the swelling goes, but I am not expecting him to kick a ball again this season.

"It is a big tragedy for Matt because he's had a great season. But we'll wait to see what the doctors say."

Sports are away to Erith and Belvedere tomorrow.
