KEVIN Wallace is the latest addition to Brighton Bears' lengthy injury list.

The 23-year-old forward from Michigan is a big doubt for this weekend's double header after twisting his ankle.

Bears visit London Leopards tonight (7.30pm) before entertaining Thames Valley Tigers at the Triangle tomorrow (7.00pm).

Wallace has not trained since Tuesday and joins co-captains Michael Brown and Daniel Hildreth on the sick list.

Brown played for the first time in nearly six weeks when he made a brief second half appearance during last Friday's defeat by London Towers.

But his torn thigh muscle has still not healed properly and he broke down again on Tuesday.

Hildreth is still struggling with a back injury which forced him to miss the Towers match and he is doubtful for the weekend action.

Coach Mark Dunning said: "We're down to the bare bones which is not what you need when you're looking to get a couple of wins to lift morale.

"I've never known a season like it for injuries during my time as a coach."

Wallace is likely to play with his ankle heavily strapped and while Brown will again suit up, his involvement this weekend is again likely to be restricted to a purely offensive role.

"It's disappointing to say the least that we are still without Mike," added Dunning.

"I will only be able to use him like I did against Towers because he can't do basketball things like turning and sprinting despite having all the treatment and rehabilitation he can have."

Rooted to the bottom of the southern conference, Bears have yet to record a victory against either of their weekend opponents and Dunning is not too optimistic about changing that statistic.
