I read the letter from J G Grist (January 11) regarding poor hygiene at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
I had a knee replacement in August under the care of Mr Robin Turner and returned to the same ward for further treatment in October.
The ward was 8A East where everything was impeccably clean. The ward was cleaned and the bed linen changed every day.
Although very busy, all the staff were kind and helpful.
I was very pleased and grateful for the care received from doctors, nurses and ancillary staff.
