The Trust USB FunC@M just has to be the simplest and cheapest digital camera around.

With a resolution cap-ability of 640 x 480, it offers everyone the opportunity to take low-level digital photographs without breaking the bank and comes complete with image-processing software allowing users to edit, store and send photographs as soon as they are taken.

The camera is made from translucent purple plastic which allows you to see what is going on inside. Unfortunately, not much does go on and the results can be a little disappointing.

Sadly, the resolution possible with this camera simply does not cut the mustard although it has a place if you require only fuzzy indistinct images.

Installation of the USB download facility was absolute simplicity. I dropped the software CD into my CD drive and watched as the computer recognised the camera and installed everything in just a few minutes. It could not have been easier.

This product is definitely suitable for undiscerning technophobes.

Downloading images into user-definable albums is really easy, too. A simple mouse click and the fuzzy pictures appear as thumbnail photos that can be clicked on again to retrieve a full-sized picture. But why anyone would want to do this is beyond me.

The camera holds an impressive 80 photo-graphs or 20 images in not very high-resolution mode.

At just 161 x 62 x 62 mm (height-by-width-by depth), it fits neatly into a handbag, jacket or trouser pocket and is protected by an immediate in-store replacement guarantee, valid for two years.
