Major Jack Strachan has been made an MBE but not for his heroics in conflicts - he's kept the Army in clean clothing.
His work with the Laundry Squadron was appreciated by thousands of soldiers serving in many different parts of the world.
They'll be happy to learn he's now enjoying running a cafe in Goring, near Worthing, after throwing in the towel.
