Brighton-based IT solutions provider, the fdm group, has pledged sponsorship for one of its former employees to attend an acting course at the acclaimed Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
Jed Staton, who worked at the company for three years as head technician, beat 3,000 applicants to secure one of only 34 places on the three-year acting course at the London academy.
The fdm group has offered to sponsor Jed to the tune of £1,500 per year, which will help cover accommodation expenses.
Chairman of fdm Rod Flavell said: "We are very proud to be able to support Jed and hope he remembers us when he finds fame and fortune."
