A lifeboat crew recovered a body from the foot of cliffs at Beachy Head earlier today.
The unidentified victim was spotted at Falling Sands, a former unnofficial nudist beach, on Saturday afternoon.
An Eastbourne inshore lifeboat crew were unable to get onto the beach at the time because conditions were too dangerous.
The crew recovered the body today and took it back to the lifeboat station at Sovereign Harbour, where it was handed over to Sussex Police.
