Our car came to a halt in a cloud of smoke in Asda's car park at Hollingbury recently.
As I am 86 I was of no assistance to my daughter, who was distressed. A young man suddenly appeared with a very welcome offer to help. He was wonderful, eventually managing to get our car started.
My daughter was so grateful she offered a small reward to the young man, who politely refused, showing us his police ID card. My daughter and I just want to thank him once again for his help. On or off duty, our police are first class.
