Let the people decide, but only from our list of choices seems to be the government line. While we all approve of public consultation, as everyone would like to have a say on issues ranging from whether to accept the euro to how to run our transport system, a very important factor is quite often left out - the option to declare none of the above.
This should be available on any list of options. If it is not, a false representation of the overall picture can be given.
Think what the effect would be if this option were available on local and national government voting papers, where the only present options for the disgruntled is to either not vote or to spoil your paper.
