I am writing to express my disappointment at Mike Howard's review of the recent performance of Mack and Mabel at the Theatre Royal, Brighton.
As a long-serving chairman and producer of many musical shows at the Theatre Royal, I am fully aware of the right of any critic to pass both favourable and critical comments about a production.
I do, however, expect criticism to be delivered in a constructive fashion and not in the manner Mr Howard used in his review, which was unfair, personal and downright rude.
It offended not only the actors but the management of the Theatre Royal and members of the public.
