A man was stabbed in the back after trying to stop an argument.
The attack happened at 2.30am yesterday outside the Brighton Centre.
The victim was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital but his injuries were not life-threatening.
One man was arrested and police have appealed for witnesses.
They are trying to trace a man, thought to be called Ben, who saw the attack.
