I cannot see why there is any need to build a cinema at the King Alfred when Hove already has one. The splendid building on Portland Road is currently a bingo hall. This activity only takes up a small part of the building and can be easily moved somewhere else. The building could be used to show movies a cut above multiplex fodder.
