Actress Joanna Lumley was among the guests as a Sussex charity celebrated a landmark achievement.
Sight Savers International, based in Haywards Heath, is celebrating its three millionth cataract operation in India.
The charity staged a celebration on the London Eye, followed by a dinner.
Sight Savers is the leading UK charity working to prevent blindness in developing countries. The charity's three millionth patient was a 12-year-old boy called Hemaram who lives in Rajasthan.
When the charity found him in his remote village he had been completely blind for two years. Sight Savers' support meant he was able to undergo an operation at Bisalpur Eye Hospital.
Joanna was joined by guests including author Vikram Seth. They are pictured with Sight Savers executive director Richard Porter.
The charity is also celebrating its 50th birthday.
