Micky Adams has warned the rest of the Third Division by declaring: "We will play anybody at the moment."

The Seagulls' confidence is sky-high after a run of 16 points out of 18, which has put them back in the play-off picture. They face four of the top six in the next month, starting with Saturday's visit to Barnet, when they will be roared on by 1,700 fans.

Second-placed Swansea, one of Adams' former clubs, are at Withdean on Saturday week and Albion still also have to entertain leaders Rotherham and fourth-placed Peterborough.

"We are on a nice roll at the moment and we just want to carry it on as long as we can," said Adams. "Barnet is the sort of game you want to play in. Not so long ago you wouldn't have thought we would be in this position. I am sure the fans will get behind us, as they did against Macclesfield on Tuesday. We will play anybody at the moment."

Top scorer Darren Freeman, whose double in the 5-2 victory against Macclesfield raised his tally to 13, said: "We are definitely on a roll. Confidence is high, but there are a lot of games to go. Every game in this division is tough, but the way we are playing at the moment our attitude is bring anyone on."

Adams still hopes to sign a striker on loan before today's 5 o'clock transfer deadline, although he was knocked back by an un-named Premiership club yesterday.

"The right time to make additions to your club is when you are going well, because that adds further competition," he said. "For people to settle quickly it is better for them to go into a team full of confidence."

Adams does not anticipate much movement out, although there has been interest from non-League clubs in Dave Cameron and John Westcott.

The reserves visit Norwich in the Avon Insurance Combination League tonight (7.30pm).
