The Horsham-based RSPCA is looking for homes for rescued foxes.
The creatures have been injured after being hit by cars and other
vehicles on the roads. They are cared for at a special centre before being released.
But large open fields or an open area are needed for special arrangements for fox cubs who have to learn to care for themselves.
Regional press officer Klare Kennett said: "Although most foxes are taken back to where they came from, there is a problem in finding safe places to re-release fox cubs. The cubs are put into a release pen, which is placed in a large field or open area, and food is brought to the pen for a few days until they learn to fend for themselves."
