Brighton Bears are aiming to repeat the display that shocked London Towers 81-76 five weeks ago.

The teams clash again at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre tonight. The task facing Bears is colossal as one more win would mean that Towers can be crowned Southern Conference Champions.

Bears desperately need a strong finish in their remaining four games in their battle with London Leopards to avoid the wooden spoon. They are currently two points behind Leopards, who have a stiff run in with home games against Towers and Newcastle before a trip to Birmingham.

Bears, who have a double header against Thames Valley and Birmingham this weekend before closing at home to Milton Keynes, can lose tonight and still get off the bottom provided they win two of their last three and Leopards suffer three more losses.

Brighton coach Mark Dunning freely admits he does not know which Bears team is going to show up from game to game, but feels on their day they are a match for anyone.

He said: "We beat Towers last time we played them but if you're capable of several performances like that there's no reason why it can't be replicated. If you play as well as you can then of course you'll test the opposition and then who knows what will happen?"
