Danny Cullip has put himself in the frame for a first team return after his latest comeback.

He made a commanding comeback from injury in a 1-0 for Albion's reserves last night. Cullip has missed the last five matches with a thigh strain. The former Fulham and Brentford stopper is in line for a place at Lincoln on Saturday, with Keith McPherson rated doubtful by manager Micky Adams because of a knee ligament injury.

Cullip has contributed a few goals for the first team since his £50,000 move earlier in the season. He almost scored last night, but Jamie Campbell accidentally blocked his first-half shot when the Ipswich defence failed to clear a Rod Thomas corner.

Ipswich striker Jonas Axeldal had no joy against Cullip and was substituted early in the second half. Cullip was then replaced himself minutes later with Saturday's trip to Sincil Bank in mind.

Thomas, another candidate for the Lincoln match, was also taken off once Chris McPhee had given Albion a 61st-minute lead. The promising youth team striker swept Scott Ramsay's cross at the near post, his third goal in as many games.

Albion Reserves: Ormerod; Andrews, Campbell, Palmer, Cullip, Armstrong, Westcott, D. Davis, Ramsay, McPhee and Thomas. Subs: Marney, (McPhee 76), A Davis (Cullip 60), Wilkinson, Cameron (Thomas 62) and Packham.
