WiredSussex are making a big splash next week by chartering a yacht in the South of France.

The Brighton-based organisation is bringing six Sussex companies to Milia 2000, the annual who's who of the interactive content industry, which is taking place at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes from February 14-18.

The event, now in its seventh year, attracts more than 900 exhibitors and 7,000 delegates from around the world.

According to Emily Aitken, WiredSussex's project manager for Milia 2000, the permanently moored yacht is a great opportunity for Sussex companies to promote their products to a global audience.

"Our yacht is berthed just a few minutes walk away from the main exhibition centre and provides an attractive base for the Sussex companies attending. We were at Milia last year and it was a great success. We are hoping to do even better this year", she said.

The six local companies that are attending are Victoria Real, Diarymanager.com, Wide Games, JWM Creative, Babel Media and Workhouse.
