A man has been charged with man-

slaughter in connection with the road

crash deaths of four friends from

Sussex.

Truck driver Scott Anthony Pitkin, 26, is accused of unlawfully killing the four when his truck ploughed into their rented car in Queensland, Australia, last May, while the friends were on holiday.

Pitkin, from Townsville, Queensland, is on bail and is due to appear before magistrates in his home town on January 26.

Brothers Ben and Martyn Hebblethwaite, 20 and 22,

and friends Peter Standing, 21, and

Timothy Skipp, 23,

died instantly in the crash.

A charity fund

has been set up in memory of the four friends.

Peter Standing lived in Amherst Crescent, Hove, Ben Hebblethwaite lived in Clovers End, Horsham, and his brother's home

was in Five Oaks Road, Slinfold.

Timothy Skipp lived in Grebe Crescent, Horsham.
